Peer Review Process

Insights applies a double-blind peer review process: the identities of authors and reviewers are mutually concealed.

Each submitted manuscript first undergoes an editorial check for scope and formal compliance. Manuscripts classified as scientific (original scientific articles and review articles) are assessed by at least two reviewers holding an academic (scientific or teaching) title. Professional contributions and book reviews are assessed by at least one qualified reviewer or through editorial assessment.

Reviewers evaluate the relevance and topicality of the theme, originality and contribution, the theoretical framework and (for empirical work) the methodology, clarity and structure, consistency of referencing (APA), and adherence to ethical standards. Each reviewer provides a recommendation: accept without changes, accept with minor revisions, accept with major revisions and re-review, or reject.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on the basis of the reviews. Reviewers are required to declare any conflict of interest and to withdraw where a conflict exists. The list of reviewers is made publicly available at least once a year.
