The effects of intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts in the creation of an informal prison system
Abstract
The paper analyzes the social-psychological triggers for the formation of the association of convicts. The association of convicts is a psychological inevitability that in the penal environment has two extremes: on the one hand, the association of convicts creates a suitable ground for criminal and anti-social acculturation, which ensures the already generally accepted stigmatization of convicts, and on the other hand, it enables a greater number of convicts to overcome the fear and stress of the effects of imprisonment and separation from the social environment.
